2006/2007 season review
Men:
After a number successive promotions for the men’s teams, a year of stabilisation is the best description for last season! All the teams avoided relegation, which was a good effort considering the injury list. Lets move on, and look forward to a return to winning ways in 2007/8.
Ladies:
A lucky escape last season has resulted in the Ladies 1st staying in the feeder league, now to be known as North Division 2 West. Our 3rd team after joining the Manchester league for the first year went on to prove that they should be playing higher by coming 2nd in the league and gained promotion to Div 1. This sees them in the same league as our 2nd team, who put up a good fight to come near to the top of Division 1. So we have some very real opportunities to push our teams higher next season. The lower teams had a fantastic season with the 4th maintaining top half of the table in Division 3. And our real success story was our 5th team who started with only a few existing players from the previous season and built a team from scratch to finish the league in a winning streak!
