2009/2010 season
Hockey is back! This year there is a NEW TRAINING PLAN still split over 3 nights Men's 1st and 2nd Squad Tuesdays, Ladies 1st And 2nd Squad Wednesdays and Men's Club on Wednesdays and Ladies 3rd-6th on Thursdays. However Manchester Girls High School pitch is flooding so training has been moved for some teams. Training will end towards end of March. Please see training section for times and venues.
From May onwards we will enter a Summer Hockey League on the week day evenings for Mens, Mixed and Ladies as well as have social hockey.
Umpires required!!!
We are regularly short of umpires at the club. This means those who do umpire are required to race around before or after their own hockey games. Please consider getting yourself qualified and picking up a whistle now and then.

If you have any queries or would just like to have a chat about what is involved then please speak to Mike McDonagh or by email to umpiredev@didsburynorthernhc.co.uk
2008/2009 season review
Men:
A season of ups and downs with movement throughout the club. The first team competed for promotion until the very last weeks of the season and only just failed. Unfortunately the 2nd team dropped down to Division 2. Better news from the 3rd team who were promoted to Division 5 N. The 4th team will be pushing for promotion this year no doubt after missing out by only one place this year. The 5th team finished mid-table and the 6th team were promoted. With a new 7th team in 2009-10 this promises to be an exciting season.
Ladies:
Last Season was our best season ever in the Ladies section! Ladies 1st obtained their highest position in the League, comfortably stayed in North Division 2 West. Our 2nd team were runners up in the Div1 and we have high hopes of promotion in 2008/9. Our 3rd team had a last minute sprint and secured mid table of Div 1. Our 4th team had a brilliant season and were promoted to Division 2. In the bottom division 4 there are difficult times as all new clubs to the league start there which means are 5ths are a little trapped as new teams come through, next season!. In the first year of having a 6th team we achieved our goal to field a team every week and to win a few matches!!! That’s the joy of Social hockey!
